Week 26: Drywall boarding starts
Drywall started this week! Although we cannot complete all the boarding (the client has chosen to go with drywall reveals around the doors, so the doors need to be installed 100% before all the drywall can be done), we should be able to finish 90% of the house.

Week 25: Insulation
The insulation arrived today. The client has chosen to go mostly with Roxul insulation both for the interior and exterior requirement for Continuous Insulation (CI). Roxul is more expensive, harder to install, but does provide some resistance to fire.

Week 24: Exterior Detailing
George, Grant and I spent a few meetings this week going over the complex exterior detailing. This house will not be a simplified task of simply installing siding. George has to do a LOT of aluminum rim details, both to accentuate window and corner details, but also to make sure we accommodate the change from the North/South wall cladding (different because of the requirement to be non-combustible) and the East/West wall cladding). It's going to be great, but I think George has had some sleepless nights - a good sign that he is a consummate professional.

Week 23: Keeping watch
George pointed out the coolest little owl sitting under the office floor outside, keeping watch on us as we cleaned the front of the house and yard up. Beautiful!

Week 22: Water and Electrical Services
Odds and ends week! Tony was in to install the meter and get the meter sealed and inspected by the city. At the same time, Kevin scheduled the new service to be installed and we dismantled the old electricity service on the North side of the house.
